The Artist is a one-man show, starring Thomas Monckton. He has been called “New Zealand’s Mr Bean”.
This show is a comedy about a clumsy but hopeful painter who can’t get anything right.
Full of clowning, acrobatics and hijinks in the pursuit of creating art, this homegrown visual storytelling has wowed audiences around the world for a reason – it’s that funny, and that good!
There is no interpretation, because the storytelling is all through the actor’s movement, with no speech.
Suitable for families with Deaf members and hard of hearing people.
