Toitū Te Reo
For the past two years, AAF has been proud to honour our commitment to te reo Māori through the delivery of programmes under Toitū Te Reo, a language plan that upholds the mana of te reo as a treasure and integral part of daily life in Tāmaki Makaurau.
Meet our Kaihautū Māori / Director of Māori Programming and Language, and Toitū Te Reo lead Ataahua Papa.
With the aim of ensuring that te reo Māori is seen and heard every day, we have integrated it into all aspects of the Festival.
Through the platform of the arts, te reo will resound all across Auckland. Kapa haka, poetry, music, Māori artists, waiata sing-alongs and kōrero will bring the taonga that is te reo front and centre for audiences to enjoy, participate and engage with.
Te Reo Māori – connecting the past, present and future.
